Heat exchanger duct for pellet stoves

Triple-walled heat exchanger duct for energy recovery from pellet stove fumes

How to improve the distribution of heat emitted by a pellet stove? This regular request had been waiting for an answer for several years... The challenge is now complete, thanks to the fruitful partnership between the academic research led by La Rochelle University (LaSIE) and the applied research of the Poujoulat group. A thesis first allowed to quantify and to optimize the recoverable energy in the concentric duct of these wood appliances, by guaranteeing at the same time the admission of air and the evacuation of smoke. Then the manufacturer gave shape to the concept, by developing a triple-walled exchanger duct for pellet stoves. Holder of a European patent, this product has integrated in 2018 the AIRWOOD range of hot air distribution marketed by Cheminée Poujoulat.
