Connected, autonomous and tailor-made aquatic drones, for Environmental monitoring
10 years ago, our teachers-researchers decided to offer to our students practical workshops about onboard robotics, which were a need expressed by local companies. Drones became a well-beloved educational at La Rochelle Université. As time went by, a partnership with IMSolutions, a company specialized in marine robotics, helped to co-development of autonomous aquatic drones, with tailored cases and personalized softwares (image analysis, deep learning algorithms, distance monitoring, etc.)
Today, the development of these connected robotics systems, moving alone or in group in a marine environment, is used for littoral surveillance, a perfect illustration of our specialization in Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability.
