La Rochelle University Organic Beer
Elaboration of organic beers "Science Infuse" produced in our micro-brewery with the students
Our Biotechnology Department has taken up the challenge of creating a micro-brewery in the heart of La Rochelle Université campus in order to show the importance of biochemistry, microbiology, sensory analysis and marketing in the manufacture and distribution of a product: beer. Since 2000, 7 "Science Infuse" beer recipes have been created and are marketed by regional distributors. We also assist breweries in the creation of recipes, beer analysis, supply of yeast, etc.
To date, our "Science Infuse" beers have won 14 medals in national competitions and are certified organic. Successful innovations in the service of education, taste and the local & sustainable economy!
